We are delighted to welcome you to Relais Rantegosa. Please read our house rules carefully.

Access to the property

It is compulsory to notify the Management of the arrival and departure of all persons, for legal registration purposes. Those found to be unregistered are committing an offence under the law.

Visitors are also required to request authorisation to access the property; they may be asked to produce identification.

It is also compulsory to communicate arrival and departure times for the handover and return of keys.

Rules of conduct

Each guest's conduct towards other guests and staff must be guided by the fundamental principles of tolerance, respect and cooperation that ensure harmonious coexistence. Guests are required to maintain order and to protect the living environment in all common areas.

Out of respect for neighbours, guests must observe quiet hours at night (22:00 – 08:30) and during the afternoon rest (13:00 – 16:00).

Pets are not permitted.

The following are strictly prohibited:

Guests are welcome to read the books available in the house, provided they are returned in the same condition before departure.

Damage, soiling, loss/non-return of keys

In the event of damage to or soiling of the building, furniture, objects or appliances, or loss or failure to return keys before departure, the cost of the damage must be paid by the person who caused it. Such payments must be made immediately and in cash.

Loss of keys: incurs a penalty of € 50.

It is strictly forbidden to enter the house wet or to sit on chairs and sofas in a wet or damp swimsuit, or to enter the house with wet feet. Any damage caused to upholstery will be charged as indicated above.

Legal liability

Anyone who causes damage to the building, furniture, objects or appliances is held legally responsible under applicable regulations. Thefts and intentional damage will be reported to the authorities immediately.

Relais Rantegosa accepts no liability for valuables (money, jewellery, etc.) kept in guest rooms, in-room safes or communal areas.

The car park is located within the Villa's walls but is unattended. We recommend always locking your vehicle and not leaving valuables inside. Relais Rantegosa accepts no liability in the event of theft.

Arrivals and departures

Check-in
16:00 – 18:00
Arrival is not possible before 14:00. Check-in after 20:00 is available on request only (subject to availability) and incurs a supplement of €20.
Check-out
By 10:00
Occupation beyond this time will result in an additional night's charge at the booked rate.

Relais Rantegosa does not offer a 24-hour reception service. Guests are required to inform management well in advance of their expected arrival time. Any inconvenience arising from failure to do so is the guest's responsibility.

Should failure to observe the check-out time prevent incoming guests from accessing the property or staff from carrying out cleaning, any resulting damages — both financial and reputational — will be the sole responsibility of the guest who fails to comply.

Stay prices

For applicable prices, please refer to the maximum rates displayed on the notice inside the property.

Rates and tourist tax
Rates do not include any extra services or items not listed.

Tourist Tax: rates do not include the tourist tax levied by the Municipality of Chiavari (€1.50 per person per night, for a maximum of 7 nights, for guests aged 12 and over). Exemptions must be self-certified by the guest using the appropriate form.

Booking conditions

Direct booking confirmation — a deposit of 50% of the total amount due is required at the time of booking. The booking is considered confirmed upon receipt of the deposit or proof of payment, after which Relais Rantegosa undertakes to reserve the property for the requested dates (email confirmation is the binding reference).

Payments (deposits and balances) — at the time of booking, the deposit must be paid by an agreed method within 48 hours. If this deadline passes without further communication, the booking will be automatically cancelled. The balance must be paid upon arrival.

Bookings and cancellations are valid once confirmed in writing by management to the guest.

Room occupancy — additional beds, cots, camp beds, inflatable mattresses or similar are not available in the Green and Orange rooms, which can accommodate a maximum of 2 people each. In the Yellow and Red rooms a folding cot can be added for babies up to 2 years old.

Rooms are made available to guests according to the number of people, starting from 2 rooms for 4 guests. The Green Room will only be made available from 7 guests onwards.

Cancellation policy

Standard rate

1. From the moment of booking, Relais Rantegosa undertakes to reserve the property for the requested dates. Email confirmation is the binding reference.

2. Guests who choose the standard rate may cancel free of charge up to 20 days before arrival (by 23:59 on the twentieth day before check-in).

3. For cancellations notified less than 20 days before arrival, Relais Rantegosa will retain the deposit as a cancellation fee. No discount is offered for reductions in the length of stay or early departure.

4. Every booking or cancellation is valid once written confirmation has been received by email.

5. In the event of a no-show without notice, the full deposit will be retained as a cancellation fee.

8bis — "Non-refundable" rate

Stays booked at a discounted NON-REFUNDABLE rate are subject to the following conditions:

1. The booking is considered on hold for 24 hours, within which the full amount must be paid. If this deadline passes, the booking will be automatically cancelled.

2. In the event of cancellation, modification or no-show, no refund will be given.

3. For anything not specified here, the general conditions apply.

Force majeure

Relais Rantegosa is not responsible for cancellations caused by force majeure events (armed conflicts, travel restrictions, natural disasters, objective impossibility of travel on the part of the guest, or other extraordinary and unforeseeable circumstances).

In the event of a cancellation beyond the contractual deadline due to such causes, Relais Rantegosa undertakes to offer the guest a voucher equal in value to the lost booking, valid until the end of the calendar year following the date of cancellation.

Safety rules

Whenever leaving your room or the house, for reasons of safety and energy saving please switch off the air conditioning, lights, TV and any other electrical devices, unless specifically authorised by the property.

It is strictly forbidden to enter the house wet and/or barefoot, to go without shoes inside the house, or to run or climb on plants or furnishings.

Relais Rantegosa accepts no liability for damage to property or persons arising from improper use of the pool, furnishings or the property in general.

Management is authorised to remove any guest who fails to comply with these rules. For any complaints or queries, please contact management.

Linen and cleaning

The house is cleaned once a week and always between guests. For stays of 7 nights or more, one interim cleaning during the stay can be requested (the kitchen is excluded), included in the price.

Rooms are provided with towels and bed linen with a weekly change. Additional cleaning or extra linen changes can be requested at the time of booking for an additional charge.

Guests have access to a washing machine for their own use.

On returning the keys, all rubbish must have been sorted for recycling and disposed of as per the instructions provided. The kitchen must also be left clean and tidy, with no leftover food or drinks.

Other

Guests may only walk in the property's own garden, the parking courtyard and the path leading to the entrance gate. Entering the private properties of other residents of Villa Bombrini or going up the driveway is prohibited.

On request, up to 4 cars may be parked in the area reserved for the Relais in the private courtyard adjacent to the house.
